MEDIA RELEASE - PLEASE REPORT ALL CRIME

Sea Point Police are urging the community to report all crime, no matter how small, as soon as possible, and give all relevant information. This is to ensure that the police are aware of all incidences for deployment purposes. It is of no use to report crime via social media and not report it to the Police.
We need to emphasize again the importance of not leaving valuables visible in your vehicle.
Previously Sea Point Police experienced the remote jamming method; however there has been an increase in the breaking of car windows.
By working together we can curb crime!!!

Welcome to the Sea Point CID website

Sea Point is one of Cape Town’s most densely populated suburbs, an important commercial and residential area very popular for living, investing and well known for shopping, dining and entertainment facilities.  Many foreigners and local investors see the area as a place of urban rejuvenation.

The success of the existing Sea Point City Improvement District (CID) is due to the co-operation of various City of Cape Town departments, sub-contractors providing “top-up” services, the excellent relationship with the Sea Point Police Service, City Law Enforcement, Traffic, and Metro Police and the valued support of property and business owners within the geographical boundary.

ATM Fraud - Use ATMs in well lit and safe areas

Services

Safety and security is a prominent feature of any City Improvement District. The Sea Point CID co-ordinates public and private security services.

Initiatives

By giving responsibly you can make a difference in transforming someone’s life. Often your spare change is used to buy alcohol and drugs . . .

Safety Tips

The Sea Point CID wants you to take care this festive season when you use an ATM. Don’t keep any items visible on the seat of your vehicle.
